This original set of three ceramic jugs comes from the skilled artisans of the Puma family, inspired by the motifs of Nazca culture. Nazca art constitutes one of the true peaks of Andean tradition, recognized as a high point of central Andean creativity in ceramics. All three jugs have a bulbous base shape; the one on the right has a bridge and double spout design with animal figures and geometric designs; the one on the left ends in a side handle and a vertical spout adorned with the anthropomorphic figure of an animal with a human head; the ceremonial vase at the center is decorated with an anthropomorphic warrior image. A cream base color in all three pieces allows for a striking contrast that highlights the decorative designs.
