Nyoman Setiawan crafts an impressive mask to represent Hanoman, the great Monkey King. The winged character comes from the tales of the Ramayana. Loyal and courageous, he helps Rama rescue Sita by transporting sand from the sacred Mt. Meru. With it he builds a bridge over the ocean to Sri Lanka, where she was held captive. Setiawan sculpts the mask from pule wood and paints it by hand.
