Wool throw, 'Andean Mists' Home Decor Linens Blankets Throws ![]()
Colorful bands
alternate with gray as the Yurivilca Family stylizes this throw
with Tarma artistry. The shape of the throw is inspired
by the gachakata, a type of shawl used by the
women of the Andean highlands to carry their babies on
their back. The Yurivilca Family weaves this piece on a
four-pedal loom, in the tradition of the Ayacucho region. They
use a rich blend of wool and Dralon to ensure
warmth and resilience. 60% Dralon, 40% wool. Hand was
in cold water with mild detergent. Do not use bleach.
